Doug,

I stumbled on this blog today and am excited to contribute in the interesting discussions that you bring up. As the founder of a web 2.0 company (http://scribnia.com/) I would obviously find it fascinating to hear about the companies that you launched and some of the mistakes/learning experiences you had.

I’m not sure what you are doing now (working, consulting), but if at all possible, please try to blog about that. What makes Penelope Trunk and top bloggers like her so compelling is that she writes candidly about challenges in her life / businesses as they happen. You get a sense of the author as a person and it promotes the sense of the blog being a diary. Writers have the ability to spin the past in various ways so its great reading an author discuss the present without an idea about what the future will hold.

Hey Doug, I found your site through a comment you left on Justin Brookes website. Anyway, I agree totally and find that if I try to write about something I am not passionate about, I can’t do it well. The words don’t flow and it becomes too much work. I am passionate about SEO and cars so I write about those subjects. Thanks for the insight. Zack
